My family and I love Italian food and eating out.
When we were invited to try the new La Famiglia pasta sharing bowl at Prezzo we were all looking to it.
We pre booked our table online the day before, there is an option for requirements too. For example: I wrote that we required a highchair.
Our chosen Prezzo restaurant was the Eastbourne branch. Situated a stones throw from Eastbourne station.
Upon arrival, the restaurant looked fairly busy, the host greeted our daughter and I (daddy was parking the car), welcomed us and showed us to our table that was waiting for us.
The host gave our daughter some crayons and a activity sheet to keep her occupied.
When our waitress came over to take our drinks order, we asked if we could also order our meal.
She even asked us if we wanted our starter and main together.
Once our drinks (two colas and table water) arrived, our waitress dressed our table.
Three bowls with plates underneath, a side plate with large serving spoon and tongs.
The food arrived which made our table space very small, we did have to move a few things around.
What did we order?
Two garlic breads and a La Famiglia sharing bowl of Spaghetti Bolognese.
If we’d know the size of the garlic bread when ordering we would have only ordered the one.
Garlic bread is cooked in olive oil which really made the garlic stand out.
It is also really filing so we ended up bringing the second one home with us.
The spaghetti Bolognese is cooked with their traditional slow cooked beef ragú. served with spaghetti.
There certainly was plenty to go round. Her daddy can eat loads! Our daughter was trying to keep up with him.
The Bolognese tasted so good, that we all kept going back for more, the sharing bowl was empty when we finally had had enough.
We all had ice cream. My daughter and I chose chocolate and her daddy had the strawberry.
The adult ice creams came in these lovely tilted glasses.
Chocolate ice cream was very rich and had mini chocolate chips in it.
Overall our service was really good, there was always someone around if we needed anything, our waitress checked in with us to make sure we were happy.
The table was cleared promptly.
Waitress even provided a beaker and straw for our daughter without being asked.
My family and I never eaten at Prezzo Eastbourne before, the staff and restaurant were all very welcoming so we’d like to go back soon especially as they seem to be family friendly too.
Disclaimer: This post is an entry for the BritMums #PrezzoLaFamiglia Challenge, sponsored by Prezzo. A voucher was gifted to me which covered the costs of this family meal.
