Dry like Me Sun
We have been potty training for nearly a month now. It all happened so quickly; one minute my daughter flatly refused to even acknowledge her potty as anything more than a seat for her teddies. Then one Sunday afternoon she wanted her pull ups changed, with them all ready around her ankles and shuffling towards me in the kitchen. I guided her back to the living room and asked her to sit on her potty for 1 minute while I finished prepping dinner.

1 minute turned into 5. I hear “ergh there’s wet in my potty”. She did her first wee! We made a huge fuss and praise – this is how we begun.

Moving on from pull ups
My daughter has been in pull up style nappies for so long that it’s now time to move on.
Our signs that she is ready:
• She asks to be changed
• We can communicate well
• She knows when she needs to go
• She can stay dry for 2 hours
• She knows that poos go in her potty
• She can pull her bottoms up and down – sometimes she struggles with her pull ups if they get rolled down

  1. Wow, that’s great that she told you, it’s always good to be led by your child for the big milestones! These look like a great transition ready for the big girl pants and the designs are lovely too. Good luck.

  2. These look fab! Will definitely be using them with our boy when the time comes! Will be reading your journey for some tips, its been a while since we last potty trained.
